Where to start? The dives were spectacular with the widest variety, from the smallest shrimp to the largest manta, all set in magnificent coral, soft, hard, and even the sand was home to amazing critters and fish. The boat is well designed with touches of elegance everywhere in nooks and crannies. But as nice as the boat is, the crew was superb. The dive guides met all of our requests for rare and endemic sea life. And the boat staff not only met, but anticipated, our every wish. They are completely oriented to the needs and wishes of the guests. We were truly honored.

The Arenui is an amazing live aboard with a very courteous, attentive staff; beautiful rooms; and gourmet food. And then there is the diving. Despite some rainy weather in the south, the dive sites were beautiful, full of coral and fish and tiny creatures. The guides seem to be able to find even the tiniest pygmy seahorses and nudis and they are also respond to the preferences of the divers. A memorable trip in every way!!

With this being our first live aboard I know we have been spoiled for any future live aboards. The boat is fantastic and with me being a boat person I appreciate the beautiful lines of the boat and the amenities aboard. The crew has been fantastic taking care of our every need and the food!!!! The food has been great and has far exceeded any land-based resort I have been to as far as quality and presentation. Lastly in my opinion you have 2 of the best cruise directors available in Indonesia with Jerry and Debbie. They have gone above and beyond to make this trip one of our best.

This was our second liveaboard and, by far, the most enjoyable. From the crew, to our stateroom, the food, the openness, it has been one unforgettable experience. We cannot say enough about the crew; they were there for our every need, often anticipating our requests …. …. always with a smile. The dive areas were most unique; the colors of the corals beyond belief, the fish indigenous to these waters are forever locked in our memories. Then there was the food: if you come on these trips expecting to shed a few kilos, forget it. Every dinner was a four-course extravaganza. How can you possibly anticipate each meal and be rewarded with one which is better than the previous? That’s the Arenui; the standard yet to be met by other live aboards.

An outstanding trip, all around. You cannot say enough about the organization and professionalism of the entire crew of the Arenui. The service was the best, the food was unbelievable, and the facilities aboard the boat met our every need. Every day, after the first dive you came back to a clean room. There was always a crewman near to help, any time. The diving was good, The atmosphere was cordial, the crew gracious and respectful. Kudos to the crew directors, Debbie and Jerry; their leadership was reflected in the attitudes of the crew. This was the second live aboard that I have been on and there is no comparison between the two. I think that you would find it very hard to find another live aboard that can compare to the Arenui in providing any diver with across the board, total, satisfaction.

Having been on many live-aboards in the world, The Arenui ranks at the top. The ambiance, food, and staff both Dive and Operations are top notch!!! First, the diverse range of top notch eats, prepared and presented in a way that rivals top restaurants of the world. The Dive/Cruise directors catered effortlessly to a very diverse group of divers from the needs of photographers to that of the novice, and dealt with diving issues in a top professional way. The Dive guides knew exactly where to go and pointed out every creature imaginable. You wanted to see it, the Indonesian dive guides knew where to find it and knew all about it….like diving with a marine biologist. The emphasis was on having a good time and that was reflected clearly in the dining and operational staff with a smile always on and a great sense of humor too. The Arenui is the ultimate dive boat with great service personnel and excellent food (too much!), dive guides are great and we were welcomed back to the boat with a hot shower/designated towel. Your dive gear is always ready to use, including your camera/video put into a plastic container waiting for you on the boat. A certified diver since 1960 – I highly recommend the Arenui.

The Arenui is a first class dive boat with spacious cabins and gourmet food. The crew is there to assist you in every way before and after every dive. The dive guides are familiar with the area and had great knowledge of the dive sites and the marine life. The night dives were particularly outstanding with the guide’s ability to find many tiny rare sea creatures. All the staff, from the cruise directors Debbie and Jerry, to the kitchen crew and the support staff were excellent and made for an unforgettable trip. We booked this trip to Raja Ampat through Ocean Enterprises and were accompanied by the owner Werner Kurn and his wife Myra. Werner is an excellent trip leader. We highly recommend the Arenui and travelling with Ocean Enterprises.

Any superlatives I could use would be insufficient to describe my trip aboard the Arenui. Wonderful meals, personalized service, and a great staff willing to go the extra mile made this trip extraordinary. The only thing better than the service were the spectacular dives. From tiny seahorses to immense giant mantas, our dive guides made sure we saw the very best of Raja Ampat below the waves. An amazing trip all around.
