I’ve been diving for 39 years and I’m a PADI IDC Staff Instructor. I have never seen underwater anything close to this level of beautiful and very healthy coral and this much marine life. I happen to love diving deep and searching for ‘the big stuff’ – sharks in particular. But until this trip I’d never seen a thresher shark. I told my incredible divemaster Ronald “let’s find the sharks”. We dove deep and into the blue and WHALA – hammerheads and two up close and huge thresher sharks in Run Island at 122 feet down out in the blue. I was screaming underwater with excitement! Crew: Cruise Directors incredibly knowledgeable. Divemasters amazing.

Overall a very good experience. I had some reservations around being on a boat stuck with people I may not enjoy. Spirit engendered on the cruise by the staff and directors made sure I need not have been concerned. An amazing trip made all the better by the enthusiasm and openness of the cruise directors. They made a very relaxed atmosphere for all but maintain a keen eye on quality, safety and above all a real enthusiasm for all activities. Excellent crew and divemasters with eagle eyes mean I have seen the most amazing array of all sea-life. Top prize goes to finding the leopard shrimp – fantastic! Boat: I have no basis for comparison as this is my first live-aboard experience. Clearly though from comments from others I should expect to be disappointed if I visit other live-aboards! Diving: diving was first class. I have to compliment Steven who had two emergencies to handle on two consecutive days – his care and attention even after the event was great. Crew: usually people, not infrastructure, make hospitality companies work well. The boat is nice no doubt but the crew you have is pretty special. Jerry and Debbie keep low profile on management but ran a great show. Food: amazing what can be done on a boat in the ocean for so many days. Exceptional catering and big shout out to the chefs and back room crew who did an amazing job all trip.

Have dived all over the world and on many liveaboards but Arenui is the best. I feel worth the cost. Will be back. Boat: very well laid out and plenty of space. Outdoor space is outstanding. Diving: very well organized and impressed with the way the tenders were handled. Crew: very well run and the crew always helpful/attentive. A high level of service, which I expected but was very much delivered. Impressed with the level of experience of the crew and stability and continuity of the group. Food: food very good and well prepared. Overall excellent.

Boat: the deck crew are very attentive and helpful, spoils you for any other dive boat. Diving: brilliant diving. Crew: everyone very helpful and smiley. Food: The salads and fruit very good and the chefs work hard and keep the kitchen in very good shape.
