G, Lisa and crew could not provide better service. They made us feel safe and at home in a very remote part of the world. Idy is also a great divemaster. Hope to see everyone again someday! Crew: absolutely great – no room for improvement.

I came to the Arenui as a beginner diver still needing my open water certification. During my first dive I was so nervous, at one point I just wanted to stop the dive but luckily I had the full attention of my amazing divemaster (G) and he helped me relaxed and continue through that dive. 10 dives later we were laughing underwater at the corals that looked like the cheshire cat from Alice in Wonderland and I was completely relaxed. Thanks to G I can now call myself a diver! We had a wonderful time! Thank you so much. It is clear that the whole crew is very happy working on this boat and that really added to the quality of the experience. Boat: beautiful! A very comfortable feeling while being elegant at the same time. Diving: we were well informed and felt very safe. All the dives were fantastic. Crew: the entire crew was amazing but I want to especially mention Lisa and G, who made us all feel so welcome and completely taken care of. They went well beyond the call of duty in so many ways. The stewards and tender drivers were also wonderful. Food: lots of variety and all delicious. It was so nice to be able to special order whatever we wanted.

Before this diving trip aboard the Arenui to the Komodo Islands, I had only six open water dives. Now after 17 dives on this trip, I feel much more confident as a diver. The divemasters, Lisa, Joni, Ronald and Idy kept close to me during the dives and made sure I felt safe and secure the entire time underwater. The small dive groups of 3 to 4 people and expertise of the divemasters ensured sightings of sea creatures I never knew existed – frogfish, scorpionfish, sweetlips, nudibranchs and garden eels. One of the many highlights was swimming with manta rays! Thank you Arenui crew for a memorable diving vacation! The boat is beautiful and meticulously cared for. Every need was met with a smile – excellent service, food, equipment, guides, together with a beautiful Indonesian culture and landscape. Boat: excellent use of space; extremely comfortable and relaxing. Diving: felt like I was in good hands and that diver safety was of the highest importance. Crew: the entire Arenui crew went out of their way to provide the best service, food, and overall diving and vacation experience. Thank you! Food: couldn’t have been better – wonderful.

They are so many wonderful experiences, it’s impossible to pick just one. My favourite moments were when Lisa or Ronald or Joni or Idy would be so thrilled with the uniqueness of what we were seeing that they would cheer, clap, dance, and even jump for joy with their hands overhead and fists pimping – all underwater! One such instance was the cuttlefish party when we saw SIX different large cuttlefish of 3 varieties all within sight at once. When another of our dive groups came by and saw the first cuttlefish, we all held up our fingers, there where six within sight. It was thrilling to see their expressions as they spotted all 6, one at a time. It’s important to have great passengers/guests and we really did. Thanks to Jeff Chanin for organizing such a fabulous group of people! Boat: very nice to have charging and drying and storage areas (with the dry towels) for the cameras and computers in the restaurant area. Love the canopy and towels/pillows in the luxurious sky lounge area. Diving: loved Komodo! The variety, the wall dives, the pinnacle dives, the mantas. Incredible service by the crew helping us with our gear. Crew: all the crew were incredibly helpful, cheerful, smiling, good natured, safety conscious and doing everything imaginable to make the trip a joy.

Everything was fantastic!!! The ship and crew were wonderful. We were completely spoiled! This is our second trip with the Arenui, and I consider this to be the best liveaboard on the planet! Many of the crew has changed but the quality has not.

I waited to celebrate my 50th birthday on the Arenui – this is the finest liveaboard, possibly in the world – diving, guides, food, accommodation. I would be amazed if this can be “bettered”. Indonesian diving is still unspoilt, hurry up and treat yourself to the Arenui! This is the finest dive holiday experience I have ever been part of.
